The Kidde LED Strobe and 10-Year Smoke Alarm helps protect against fire threats with fully-integrated LED stobe lights and voice warning system. The
model P4010ACLEDS-3 is equipped with a 177 candela strobe light, designed to notify the deaf and hard of hearing in the event of a fire or smoke threat
in accordance with NFPA ADA & UL requirements. Hardwire installation is required, but the 10-year worry-free battery back-up allows the alarm to sound in the event of power loss. Leading authorities recommend that both ionization and photoelectric smoke alarms be installed to help ensure optimal detection of the various types of fires that can occur within the home. Ionization sensing alarms may detect invisible fire particles (associated with fast flaming fires) sooner than photoelectric alarms. Photoelectric sensing alarms may detect visible fire particles (associated with slow smoldering fires) sooner than ionization alarms.
Alerts: LED strobe & voice warning systems alert you to smoke in a single fully-integrated unit.
Hardwire Installation Required: Hardwiring required with 120V interconnect and battery backup that provides 10 years of continuous detection. Battery backup will only power the smoke alarm.
Hush™ Control: Temporarily silences nuisance alarms for up to 10 minutes (smoke must be present before Hush is activated).
Photoelectric Smoke Sensor: May detect visible fire particles associated with slow smoldering fires sooner than an ionization sensor.
