How Do I Determine If My Carbon Monoxide Digital Alarm Has Reached Its End of Life?

To determine if your carbon monoxide digital alarm has reached its end of life, follow these guidelines:

Alarms Manufactured Between January 1, 2000 and January 31, 2006

If your CO alarm was manufactured between January 1, 2000, and January 31, 2006, it will display an Err message when it has reached the end of its life. To confirm this, push the Peak level button. If the alarm then displays an E09 message, it has indeed reached the end-of-life. Additionally, the alarm will emit a quick beep every 30 seconds.

Alarms Manufactured From February 1, 2006, Forward

For alarms manufactured from February 1, 2006, onward, the CO alarm will display an End message when it has reached the end of its life. Similar to older models, the alarm will emit a quick beep every 30 seconds to indicate that it needs to be replaced.

Time to Replace Your Alarm

When your CO alarm has reached the end of its life, it is crucial to replace it to continue protecting your home. Keeping your CO alarm up-to-date ensures that you and your family are safeguarded from potential carbon monoxide hazards.
