The KA-B3 is designed for select BRK or First Alert to Kidde replacement situations. The 20-9003 is designed for select Kidde or FireX to Kidde replacement situations. Compatibility must be confirmed by exact model number.

The adapter can support hardwired interconnection when used with compatible alarms and properly completed AC wiring. Different alarm models may provide different interconnection capabilities, including whether they communicate smoke, carbon monoxide or both signals.
