According to the U.S. Fire Administration (USFA) and NFPA, almost one in seven fires involve vehicles and one in 10.5 fire deaths are the result of vehicle fires. Yet, few drivers think of a fire extinguisher as a critical component of their car safety kit. A fire extinguisher within reach inside the vehicle can be useful in an emergency or to quickly put out a small, smoldering fire.
